What is Smart Service?

Smart Service is a desktop application that adds scheduling, dispatching, routing, inventory management, equipment tracking, workforce monitoring, and much more to QuickBooks. This allows service companies to streamline their operations and avoid double data entry. Smart Service imports existing customers from QuickBooks, allowing users to schedule and dispatch work to their current customer database (as well as schedule jobs for new customers). Smart Service is a direct add-on to QuickBooks, and as such, QuickBooks is required for use. What does Smart Service do?

Simply put, Smart Service runs service companies. Smart Service keeps comprehensive  records of all of your customers and allows you to schedule and assign new jobs to them. Once work is completed, Smart Service automatically creates a ready-to-bill invoice for the corresponding job/customer within QuickBooks. Smart Service can also be used to:

Who uses Smart Service?

Smart Service is the perfect scheduling software for service companies of every size and specialization. Current customers include HVAC and plumbing companies, as well as businesses in the electrician, pest control, chimney sweep, window cleaning, document destruction, pool/spa service, landscaping, septic, fire protection, restoration, appliance repair, lawn care, construction, irrigation, handyman, security service, and mechanical contracting arenas. Within a company, Smart Service is typically used by the owner, receptionist, dispatcher, operations manager, and/or other office staff.

Is there a mobile version of Smart Service?

The work order app iFleet is the mobile half of the Smart Service system. Jobs are scheduled in the office with Smart Service, then dispatched to employees’ mobile devices in the field via the mobile app iFleet. What are Smart Service’s system requirements?

Memory: 2 GB RAM
Storage: 15 GB available HD space
Display: 1280 x 1024 or higher
Internet: Broadband internet connection required for installation, training, and support. Wireless internet is highly discouraged due to signal fluctuation and limited speeds.
QuickBooks: An active QuickBooks license is required.

Is there a Mac version of Smart Service?

No. Currently, Smart Service is exclusive to Windows computers/servers.

Will I need help installing Smart Service?

After you make a Smart Service purchase, our implementation team will contact you and schedule your installation. During installation, we will remotely connect to your computers and install the software.

How can I quickly train my staff to use Smart Service?

After installation is complete, we will schedule and conduct two remote, one-on-one, personalized training sessions for you and/or any other pertinent members of your team. (We provide a recording of these sessions for future reference.) In addition, our comprehensive online manual is a useful tool for both new and experienced users. We also offer a plethora of how-to tutorial videos to guide you through Smart Service’s immense features.

How does tech support work?

The Smart Service support plan grants you unlimited use of our Help Desk, which is available from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM EST every Monday through Friday.

How often is Smart Service updated?

All the time! Our developers are constantly responding to industry trends and customer feedback to ensure that our products remain the best on the market. These regular content updates are included in the Smart Service support plan.
